Today is Amanda's birthday, she is 31. Mom, Dad, Rick, Jess and I went out for dinner for my birthday last Monday, and then they went to Shuckers for their anniversary on Thursday. They also went to a surprise party for Delmar on Saturday.
We are going to get them a computer on Saturday and their internet will get hooked up on Tuesday, so they are going to want emails. I will send out their address as soon as I get them going. Dad wants to do that, and also when he watches the news they always say, 'more information on our website'. So I think he will have fun messing around on it. He has wanted one for a while and I just haven't gotten to it.
For anyone who has not talked to them in a week or so, they did determine that Mom has early stage alzheimers. She is on a medication to help with memory loss and will go back in a month. At her appointment they have a set of questions and memory tests that target those things and she did not do so well. Of course her attitude is good as always. I am trying to talk them into Meals on Wheels to help out a little.
All the little kids are doing well. Lilly continues to do well in school. She is in Advanced Reading, but has trouble folowing directions. ( Imagine that !!) Isaiah made me a birthday with a picture on it. After he gave it to me he took it back and folded up to a little square and whispered to me,
" Just put this in your pocket and don't show it to anyone because everyone will want one and there will just be a fight over it'. Cracked me up !! We had cake and ice cream at Kara's. Kayla is just too cute as always. She is really liking to talk on the phone. I love telling her 'I love you' and her quiet little voice always says 'love you' back. Her and Logan are a little close in age and don't generally see eye to eye. She basically will do what ever it is to make him mad and it doesn't take much to make him mad. She will ride the scooter and pull the cart so he can't have either one. They are in a power struggle right now. She was 2 in September and he will be 2 in April.
That's it for now, anyone else have an update ?????

Christmas Photos
Hey there everyone, hope you have had a lovely Holiday Season !!! If you click on the title you will see some of photos from Christmas and other misc.
We had a great snow before Christmas but it was gone quickly. Jess and Lilly made 2 snowmen. one quite large, as Dad and daughter, complete with 'Colts hats'
We are all doing well. Mom and Dad are good.
All of the legal details that we have discussed are taken care of and copies I am making will be sent to you soon.
Everyone will have a copy of everything.
Have you girls ever heard of 'Uppercase Living' ? Type it in your search and check out the web site. Kara, Amanda and I have been getting into it. Their friends have had parties and Kara is having one in January. The website has a sampling, but I do have a login if you would like to see the whole catalog. Email me and I will give it to you. They are basically vinyl letters and signs that you can stick anywhere. All kinds of sayings. The giraffe is the first item I bought. Choices of colors and sizes and can make custom signs as well.
Having the Tallman clan here Sunday afternoon, so that should be a good time.
Hope all is well with you !!!!!!!

Kids had a great time Trick or Treating, went uptown Tuesday night and to Mom and Dad's Wednesday night. Jess and Lilly went to her first Halloween party at Widewater with her church group. Had a hayride, bobbed for apples, etc. They had a great time.
Mom went to doctor for checkup Thursday. Still trying to regulate her blood pressure and Dad is continuing to monitor it daily. Shew is also going to having some testing done Dec. 17 and may be put on some kind of medication for her forgetfulness.
Rick has been in California for 2 weeks for work and got a big surprise when he came home.
Jess and I painted the inside of the house. I love it, it may take him a little time yet. LOL
The living room is red, and the two tone is the dining room and hall. The top brown is also in the kitchen by the sink and the green you see is on the other side of the kitchen.

It has finally cooled down here. the weekend was hot.
Had a good time with Jeanne here for the weekend. She went to the football game Friday, all us girls went to the Fall Festival on Saturday at MacQueen Orchards. Rides for all the kids, except Kayla, she wanted no part of any of them. Good food and crafts. We kinda thought next time will be an adult day. The only two crafts we bought were 2 pop guns and 2 bat sticks for the yard. So you know that's not what we picked out. Sunday, just went over to visit for a while and Sunday night she went for a drive with Mom and Dad to the cemetaries.
In case you happen to forget, yesterday was Mom's birthday. 74, call her if you forgot.
I am playing in a poker tourney online for bloggers, that is why the advertisement on top.
Diane, call me some evening when you have time and we will go thru the process to post.
We are all getting pictures taken for the new church picture directory this week. So Mom and Dad will have new pics for you soon.

Maybe
Maybe I have this figured out now. Anyway I was refinishing the pie safe from the basement at mom and dads and found an old letter in it stuffed up in the corner. The date on it is October 20th 1890 something the last digit is obscured. I think it is signed by Edith Carpenter its a little hard to read but mom said the safe came from the Shoemakers. So I called Dick and Jackie to find out when she was born. They said Dec 24 1888. So she could have been 10 or 11 when she wrote it. Anyway, I have it in an frame. Good conversation piece.
