Christmas Photos

Hey there everyone, hope you have had a lovely Holiday Season !!! If you click on the title you will see some of photos from Christmas and other misc.

We had a great snow before Christmas but it was gone quickly. Jess and Lilly made 2 snowmen. one quite large, as Dad and daughter, complete with 'Colts hats'

We are all doing well. Mom and Dad are good.

All of the legal details that we have discussed are taken care of and copies I am making will be sent to you soon. Everyone will have a copy of everything.

Have you girls ever heard of 'Uppercase Living' ? Type it in your search and check out the web site. Kara, Amanda and I have been getting into it. Their friends have had parties and Kara is having one in January. The website has a sampling, but I do have a login if you would like to see the whole catalog. Email me and I will give it to you. They are basically vinyl letters and signs that you can stick anywhere. All kinds of sayings. The giraffe is the first item I bought. Choices of colors and sizes and can make custom signs as well.

Having the Tallman clan here Sunday afternoon, so that should be a good time.

Hope all is well with you !!!!!!!

Kids had a great time Trick or Treating, went uptown Tuesday night and to Mom and Dad's Wednesday night. Jess and Lilly went to her first Halloween party at Widewater with her church group. Had a hayride, bobbed for apples, etc. They had a great time.

Mom went to doctor for checkup Thursday. Still trying to regulate her blood pressure and Dad is continuing to monitor it daily. Shew is also going to having some testing done Dec. 17 and may be put on some kind of medication for her forgetfulness.

Rick has been in California for 2 weeks for work and got a big surprise when he came home.
Jess and I painted the inside of the house. I love it, it may take him a little time yet. LOL
The living room is red, and the two tone is the dining room and hall. The top brown is also in the kitchen by the sink and the green you see is on the other side of the kitchen.

Pictures from Diane

Diane sent these to me to post of James and Meghan at Homecoming.

Mom and Dad and I are going to Defiance tonight to get 'touch to talk' phones for them and then going to buy new storm doors for front and back. John Sharpe is going to put them in.

It has finally cooled down here. the weekend was hot.

Had a good time with Jeanne here for the weekend. She went to the football game Friday, all us girls went to the Fall Festival on Saturday at MacQueen Orchards. Rides for all the kids, except Kayla, she wanted no part of any of them. Good food and crafts. We kinda thought next time will be an adult day. The only two crafts we bought were 2 pop guns and 2 bat sticks for the yard. So you know that's not what we picked out. Sunday, just went over to visit for a while and Sunday night she went for a drive with Mom and Dad to the cemetaries.

In case you happen to forget, yesterday was Mom's birthday. 74, call her if you forgot.

I am playing in a poker tourney online for bloggers, that is why the advertisement on top.

Diane, call me some evening when you have time and we will go thru the process to post.

We are all getting pictures taken for the new church picture directory this week. So Mom and Dad will have new pics for you soon.

Later, Cheryl

Maybe

Maybe I have this figured out now. Anyway I was refinishing the pie safe from the basement at mom and dads and found an old letter in it stuffed up in the corner. The date on it is October 20th 1890 something the last digit is obscured. I think it is signed by Edith Carpenter its a little hard to read but mom said the safe came from the Shoemakers. So I called Dick and Jackie to find out when she was born. They said Dec 24 1888. So she could have been 10 or 11 when she wrote it. Anyway, I have it in an frame. Good conversation piece.

Keeping up

We are back from Darren's parents. Good weekend. Always a lot of traveling for a short visit with the boys. They do good though for the most part Ü Good to hear from everyone else. Not much here to talk about but just wanted to say hello to everyone. I will have to get Darren to help but I will put a recent picture of the boys on here for everyone. Getting bigger everyday. Logan is orney. I think he bit Isaiah 4 times this weekend while we were in Indiana. When he gets mad that is what he has been doing. Or sometimes for no reason at all, not provoked in any way. Just teeth. Talk to everyone later.

I have been busy this morning. Mom and Dad had gotten some red peppers so I am baking stuffed peppers this morning. The oven is full. Last year it worked really well to freeze them after they were baked and we ate them all winter. Yummm!!

Jeanne, when are you coming ?? And who ?? Are you coming for the week-end?

Mom will have her mole removed Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Alvin and Dorothy both are not doing well. They are home but M & D took some tomatoes and peppers up there this week and said they are going downhill. They both have had cancer, and think there isn't much to do.

Crops are coming out this week here.

Kids are all good. Kara's family is in Indiana this weekend, and Lilly is home so it is quiet here.
Hope to get alot done.

Better get back at it ........

Great Fall here !!!!

Beside the bugs..........

Lilly and Isaiah spent the night and they have been painting pumpkins all morning on the porch. Yesterday at work we made the rounds to our growers who grow those and gourds and stocked up for fall decorating. I will take them to the field and let them pick this afternoon. We do that each fall and they have a good time. I believe Rachel went with us last year.

Speaking of that Jeanne and some kids will be home the first weekend in October. We can take them then and we may throw in the corn maize if it works out for them.

Mom and Dad are home from the camping. they came back Thursday. Mom had 2 spots on her arm, last week they froze off the one and will remove the other one Oct. 3

Daisy died this week. She is buried in the back lot.

The crop are close to coming off here. A couple of guys have started on the corn, but they may be pushing it.

Ross, Amanda and Kayla are coming out tomorrow for the day.

Last Saturday was Liberty Fall Festival and it gets bigger each year. Crafts and games for the kids, all the the Liberty Park. Happen to see Kathy Yaney there and talk to her. And Judy Kessler.

And Jeanne, I am with you on the Imax. I always have to close my eyes through much of them !!!

Well, we will go sit the artwork around,

Cheryl

King Tut

Sarah, Rachael and I went with some friends to see the King Tut exhibit this week. We enjoyed it but I sure would have liked to see the mask that is always associated with Tut. That was disappointing. The movie "Mummies" was worth seeing. I always have had trouble being In Imax theatres though. I get so dizzy.

I enjoyed seeing the pictures Diane took.

The day here was a perfect fall day. A cold front finally came through and now it feels like fall. It had been warm and humid until today. John was pleased with his time in the cross country meet. He bettered his time by one minute. David and Nathan are running too. Just for exercise. We have a 5K loop close by.

From Wayne

Everything is fine,…. busy busy busy. Dakota loves playing football and played most of the JV game Tuesday night. Linebacker. Hauk is having trouble with his asthma again, but we keep him medicated pretty well. I saw the pictures on the blog she posted some good ones.

Summer of 2007

If you click on the title you will see pictures Diane took of the summer.

I'm finally it

Cheryl,
Thanks for your help! We are getting into the swing of fall activities here. We've been doing school for three weeks. Tomorrow Sarah, David and Nathan start classes at a local co-op too. They meet once a week for class. Sarah is taking Speech and Writing and Psychology, David is taking just Psychology and Nathan is taking Civics/Geography and Health. The boys are in a large choir and Sarah is in the orchestra. Sarah is a senior this year. I can't believe it. Her graduation is June 6 2008. She will participate in a graduation with other homeschool students from Lancaster County. All year long they have activities and get togethers to help them get to know each other. It will be a busy year for her. Sarah and David also each take a free college class at Lancaster Bible College.

John is loving college. He is also at Lancaster Bible College. He runs cross country and loves that too. His drill weekends with the Marines come so fast. This weekend it is here again. He is settling into that routine also.

I need to go eat lunch but will fill everyone in more later. Jeanne

Good Morning

I has been beautiful here this week, but the signs are around that fall is on it's way.

Mom and Dad went to the Fulton Co. Fair yesterday. Are going back Wed. for Senior Day. They are going back to the campground for the 9th-23rd.

Today is Kayla's 2nd birthday party at 1:00. Her birthday is the 4th. Darren's birthday is the 5th. I ought to try to find a calendar to add to this. I don't know when all the kids' birthdays are, except for ours, and Dakota's

Lilly lost her first tooth Friday, on the bottom. She, for the first time road the bus to school 2 times this week. She gets off at our house every day, but had never taken it to school. The first day was iffy. She stood out there with Jess and told him "I don't know why I ever agreed to this plan". Dick Leatherman is her driver. The traffic was backed up before she got on.

Kara, Darren and boys are in Indiana this week-end. Isaiah is staying the rest of the week there.

Have you girls tried logging on ?? Did you both get the emails that there had been posts? If I don't hear back from you I will email you to check.

Have a great week !!

Vegas wedding

Here are some pictures from the wedding. Dakota did a great job reading at the ceremony. Wayne spent most of the day chasing Hauk!

8.25.2007

I did hear this from Roxanne.....

Hey there! Great to hear from you guys. I enjoyed the blog! What a great thing for a family to have. Congratulations on the coming baby!!!!Things are good here. It was very cold at the beginning of the week (I had to wear a coat) and now it is very hot. I just started dental school on Long Island and Jack is in a PhD program at Rutgers in New Jersey. It will be hard to be apart, but we'll see each other on weekends. Hopefully Jack can move up to Long Island in two years. The wedding was a great time. We went to a German beer garden with a live polka band the night before the wedding. You guys would have loved it! The wedding ceremony was out of the town in the desert. We got married on a helicopter landing pad and everybody hummed "Here comes the bride." Afterwards there was a very simple lunch reception. I'd love to post some photos on the blog. I am not sure how to post something. I don't think I received an invitation. Let me know what to do!

Keep in touch!

Roxanne

Mom and Dad and Rick and I have all met Jack when we went to Baton Rouge. They lived in Lousiana at the time and they drove over to the convention center where Rick was bowling and then to the campground to visit Mom and Dad. Great couple !!!!

8.24.2007

One more thing .....

Waited to make sure Mom and Dad already knew,

Kayla is wearing a new t-shirt that says, 'I'm the Big Sister'

March 25 is the official due date.

8.23.2007

Back at it.......

Had requests to get back at it on the blog. Have sent instructions to Jeanne and Diane, and a new invite to Wayne. Will also send invite to Roxanne when I get home and get her address.

Well it was dry, dry dry, and now it won't stop raining. Kara has a little water in her basement, but the rest of us are good.

Isaiah had his 4th birthday party and Kayla will have her 2nd birthday party on Sept. 2.

Mom and Dad have re-set up their camping for Sept. 9 thru the 23rd. Too hot, Tony and Martha gone, then the rains came. He did take the boat up, but I think they are going to stick to the pontoon boat. Easier for them both to get in and out and they can take the dog on it.

The fair is over, what a job. Will net about 8,000 - 9,000 for the church. We will set aside the money to finance mission trips that the people in church take. A group of men go each year to Kentucky or Lousiana, and the youth take a trip each year. And other groups here and there.
they usually either have fundraisers or pay their own way.

Lilly started back to school Wednesday. Yes, she is still staying at our house, it's been almost 3 months now. Goes to her Mom's maybe 2 evenings a week. Nothing like starting over with 6 year old. LOL.

We would still like to set up a group camping trip, so you 3 put heads together and try to come up with when for next summer. You guys set up when and we will get the sites. I don't what would better for you all, a long week-end, Friday thru Monday, or during a week, you decide.

Other news is that Jess did get an indictment against David in his assault case. Hearing was last week.

New Pics

Hey there, the title is a link to new pictures.

Now for the updates:

Jess is back to work, gets unwired April 27 and the screws taken out. He will be put out for that.
He is doing pretty well, keeping his weight up. His menus consist of mashed potatoes, CoCo wheats and a variety of baby food.

Logan is walking and has had his first birthday party.

Isaiah has a new puppy, His name is Foofy. 6 month old, dachshund mix.

Lilly now gets off the school bus here every afternoon. Is doing well in kindergarten.

Kayla is cute as ever. Trying to adjust to Ross going back to work after being home with her for the winter. She's not that happy about it.

Roxanne is getting married May 26 in Las Vegas. Lucy's sister is out there. We have met him in Baton Rouge the other year. Very nice couple. I believe they will both in up in Dallas as dentists.
Wayne if you have an email address for her, I can send her the blog also.

Mom and Dad are doing well. His VA plan is working out well. It is 8.00 per med per month. All done thru the mail. Still has his Part D insurance also, there are some meds that they don't carry that he takes.
We do have them signed up for the campground for the month of August on the lake. Or I guess Diane is finalizing that today. Cost for the month will be 400.00, don't know about tax or whatever. If you can contribute, that can be sent to Diane. They are very excited about it.

Reminder for everyone here, next Saturday is clean up day at the farm.

What's new with you ???
Cheryl

Great News ...........

South Carolina

Hi All ! Click on the title to see pics of our trip. I couldn't believe it when I saw I hadn't posted since November. Hope all is well with everyone.

John will probably be going back this weekend to Camp Lejeune NC for 52 days.

Did sign Dad up on a med plan thru Humana, but he got a letter this week saying 'welcome to VA health benefits', so that would be great. On their insurance the coverage gap is May, June and July at about 692 a month, so it will be great to get the VA thing going.

Just talked to Diane and they got a digital camera, so she will have pics soon for us.

What's going on where your at ????????
